Experience the Work In Person
The mVm Miller Voice Method® unlocks the power of your whole voice: strong, confident, and unforgettable. “Voice,” of course, refers to the literal voice that can be controlled and trained like a specialized muscle, but more importantly, Voice also refers broadly to the unique character, personality, and deeper presence that can be conveyed in Human-Communication, sometimes explicitly, but more often implicitly.

Bonus material
To help integrate what you will learn in class, you will gain access to the mVm Presence Training series for one month! This 5-week video series guides you through the process of discovering adverse breath and voice habits and provides clear-cut exercises to mitigate those habits.
Integrating mVm Miller Voice Method and the Michael Chekhov Acting Technique
10 steps to the spontaneous expression of your character
-
Immerse yourself in an atmosphere of joy, radical transparency, and experimentation!
-
In this workshop, actors will be guided through embodiment of the flow and presence created by Miller Voice Method's “Active Breath”. You’ll discover how to diminish the planning and “sculpting” of text that can get in the way of a spontaneous expression.
-
Through integrating elements of the Michael Chekhov Technique, you’ll experience the merger of imagination with breath, how to speak the impulse, connect to the body, and reveal the inner psychology of the character.
-
Actors will leave this workshop with a clear, step-by-step approach that they can immediately apply to any project and character they work on in the future.
Wednesday, January 4 & Thursday January 5
Helsinki location TBC
The workshop consists of two sessions.
Session 1 will cover the fundamentals of Miller Voice Method and several aspects of the Michael Chekhov Technique and move actors through embodiment of each.
Session 2 will take actors through the step-by-step progression to integrating the two approaches and provide an opportunity for actors to share work on their text.
Previous training in either approach is ideal, but not a prerequisite. If you are interested in signing up and have no previous training in either approach, you’re welcome to register knowing, given the timeframe, we’ll move quickly through the fundamentals of each approach.
Actors should come with a short, memorized monologue (only 45 seconds needed). English is preferred, but not an absolute requirement.
Session 1 will be offered on:
Wednesday, January 4th, 1pm - 4pm
OR
